An action-packed day was staged at St. Mary's School Biratnagar, Nepal, to remind everyone of the importance of our environment. Events included a procession through the town, tree-planting and drama. Surely all students will remember this day - and its message - for a very long time. Art teacher Patricia Schmid of Mary Ward School Lindau, Germany, together with her pupils, has converted an empty wall in the school cellar into a mural that shows the girls' most admired female role models. Not surprisingly, in this unusual combination of heroines Mary looks as young and up-to-date as she should be!
